I dreamed I died last night. It came out of no where. I wasn’t planning on it. It just happened I guess. Happens to all of us. We can all live longer, but, in the end we will die. It will happened to me, and it will happen to you – Richard Uzelac
I dreamed that My beloved wife was now alone. She is crying. She’s probably with her sister by now. May God bless her and keep her. I wish I had told her I loved her more often. What could I have done to soften the blow, give her a better parachute after I leave?
My cherished daughter probably doesn’t even know yet. How will she take it? Since I have very little time with her, will the impact be that severe? I hope not. I think she will miss my wife more than me.
My company will go on for a while I hope. My other Clients will be handed off to other companies

I didn’t die. I woke up. It was a dream.
It was a wake up call so to speak.
As I walked from the car to my office I thought, “Isn’t it great to be alive? I was dead, but now I live.” You see, once you die, that’s it, you can do nothing. But if you are ALIVE, you can do things, maybe not everything, but you can do some good things to make you and your loved ones smile. I think of people that have died recently, Steve Jobs, for instance. He was famous, he was rich, he is dead. My worst day here has more possibilities than anything he can do because he is no more. Richard Uzelac, is.
What I’m trying to say is we will ALL be no more someday, and some day relatively soon. As Nietzsche once said man truly lives only after he understands he will die. Ian Flemming wrote, ““You only live twice: Once when you’re born. And once when you look death in the face.” ― Ian Fleming, You Only Live Twice
I, Richard Uzelac am a practicing Stoic. A key tenet of Stoicism is realizing every day that you could die today and live your life with meaning, humility and gratefulness.
SO, today I try to remember my death, and have some fun and create some love with this gift of mine. I’m also going to work on Alexandra’s and Bailey’s parachutes. One will look like the Colombian Flag, the other will be Rainbows. Nice.
